The first sentence is pretty powerful!

God determines who walks into your life...

it's up to you to decide
who you let walk away,
who you let stay,
and who you refuse to let go.'

Father, God,

bless all my friends in whatever it is
that You know they may need this day!
And may their lives be full of
Your peace, prosperity and power
as they seek to have a closer relationship with You. Amen.

I was asking myself
What are some of the secrets of success in life?
I found the answer right there,

Carry a Smile that Never Fades.
Carry a tongue that never hurts.

Why do supermarkets make the sick walk all the way to the back of the store to get their prescriptions while healthy people can buy cigarettes at the front.

Why do people order double cheeseburgers, large fries and a diet coke.

Why do banks leave vault doors open and then chain the pens to the counters.

Why do we leave cars worth thousands of dollars in our driveways and put our useless junk in the garage.

Why do we buy hamburgers in packages of ten and buns in packages of eight..

Why the sun lightens our hair but darkens our skin?

Why can't women put on mascara with their mouth closed?

Why don't you ever see the headline 'Psychic Wins Lottery'?

Why is 'abbreviated' such a long word?

Why is it that doctors call what they do 'practice'?

Why is lemon juice made with artificial flavouring and dishwashing liquid made with real lemons?

Why is the man who invests all your money called a broker?

Why is the time of day with the slowest traffic called rush hour?
Why isn't there mouse-flavoured cat food?

Why didn't Noah swat those two mosquitoes?

Why do they sterilize the needle for lethal injections?

You know that indestructible black box that is used on airplanes is actually orange.
Why don't they make the whole plane out of that stuff?!
Why don't sheep shrink when it rains?

Why are they called apartments when they are all stuck together?

If flying is so safe , why do they call the airport the terminal?

Now that you've smiled at least once, it's your turn to spread the stupidity and send this to someone you want to bring a smile to (maybe even a chuckle) other words, send it to everyone. We all need to smile

Pass the Biscuits

When I was a kid, my mom liked to make breakfast food for dinner every now and then.  And I remember one night in particular when she had made breakfast after a long, hard day at work.  On that evening so long ago, my mom placed a plate of eggs, sausage, and extremely burned biscuits in front of my dad.  I remember waiting to see if anyone noticed!  Yet all my dad did was reach for his Biscuit, smile at my mom and ask me how my day was at school.

I don't remember what I told him that night, but I do remember hearing my mom apologize to my dad for burning the biscuits.  And I'll never forget what he said:  "Honey, I love burned biscuits."
Later that night, I went to kiss Daddy good night and I asked him if he really liked his biscuits burned.  He wrapped me in his arms and said, "Your momma put in a long hard day at work today and she's real tired.
And besides... a burnt biscuit never hurt anyone!"
You know, life is full of imperfect things... and imperfect people.
I'm not the best at hardly anything, and I forget birthdays and anniversaries just like everyone else.  What I've learned over the years is that learning to accept each others faults and choosing to celebrate each others differences, is one of the most important keys to creating a healthy, growing, and lasting relationship.
So...please pass me a biscuit. And yes, the burned one will do just fine!

Life is too short to wake up with regrets... Love the people who treat you right and forget about the ones who don't.

The Most Colorful River In The World

The river shown in the photographs is the Cano Cristales, which is located near the town of La Macarena in Colombia , South America .   The river, world famous for itscolorful display, has been called: "the river that ran away to paradise",  "the most beautiful river in the world"  and "the river of five colors".

During Colombia 's wet season, the water flows fast and deep, obscuring the bottom of the river and denying the mosses and algae that call the river home the sun that they need.  During the dry season there is not enough water to support the dazzling array of life in the river. But during a brief span between the wet and dry seasons, when the water level is just right, the many varieties of algae and moss bloom in a dazzling display of colours. Blotches of amarillo , blue, green, black and red - and a thousand shades in between - coat the river.

The part of the river where the colourful blooms occur is quite isolated and is not accessible by road. Adventurous tourists can now fly into La Macarena and then make their way to the river site on foot as part of guided tours. The site was effectively closed to tourists for several years because of guerrilla activity in the region along with concerns about the impact of unregulated tourist traffic. However, the site was re-opened to visitors in 2009.
So far, some 1,000 people have visited Cano Cristales, including around 100 foreign tourists.

The tours will follow four clearly marked and authorized paths and one is no longer permitted to stay overnight or cook, as this was ruining the area previously.

The Charlie Schulz Philosophy

(This is   great!! ........Scroll thru slowly and read carefully to receive and enjoy full effect)

The  following is the philosophy of Charles Schulz, the  creator of the 'Peanuts' comic strip.

You don't have to actually answer the questions.
 Just ponder on them.

Just read it straight through, and you'll get the point.
1. Name  the five wealthiest people in the  world.

2. Name  the last five Heisman trophy winners.

3. Name  the last five winners of the Miss America pageant.

4  Name  ten people who have won the Nobel or Pulitzer Prize.

5. Name  the last half dozen Academy Award winners for best actor and actress.

6. Name  the last decade's worth of World Series winners.

How did you do?
The point is, none of us remember the headliners of yesterday.

These are no second-rate achievers.

They are the best in their fields.

But the applause dies..

Awards tarnish..

Achievements are forgotten.

Accolades and certificates are buried with their owners.
Here's another quiz. See how you do on this one:

1. List a few teachers who aided your journey through school.

2. Name three friends who have helped you through a difficult time.

3. Name five people who have taught you something worthwhile.

4. Think of a few people who have made you feel appreciated and special
5. Think of five people you enjoy spending time with.

The lesson:

The people who make a difference in your life are not the ones with the
most credentials
the most money...or the most awards.

They simply are the ones who care the most

Pass this on to those people who have either made a difference in your life,
or whom you keep close in your heart, like I did.

'Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It’s already tomorrow somewhere else in the world !'

Whatever you give a woman, she will make greater,

give her sperm she will make a baby,
give her a house she will give you a home,
give her groceries she will give you a meal,
give her a smile she will give you her heart.

She multiplies and enlarges what she is given.
So if you give her any crap, be ready to receive a ton of SHIT.

" hurts"

This is a true story....

My name is Chris ,
I am three,
My eyes are swollen..
I cannot see.

I must be stupid, I must be bad, what else could have made , my daddy so mad?
I wish I were better, I wish I weren't ugly, Then maybe my mummy, would still want to hug me.

I can't do a wrong, I can't speak at all, or else I'm locked up, all day long.

When I'm awake, I'm all alone, the house is dark, My folks aren't home.
When my mum does come home,I'll try and be nice, So maybe I'll just get, One whipping tonight.

I just heard a car, My daddy is back, from the Race Track and Bar

I hear him curse, and my name is called, I press myself, against the wall.

I try to hide, from his evil eyes, I'm so afraid now, I'm starting to cry.

He finds me weeping, and calls me ugly words,
He says its my fault, he suffers at work.

He slaps and hits me, and yells at me more,
I finally get free, and run to the door.

It's already been locked, and I start to bawl,
He takes me and throws me, against the hard wall.

I fall to the floor, with my bones nearly broken,
And my daddy continues, with more bad words spoken.

'I'm sorry!', I scream,
But it's now much to late, His face has been twisted, Into a unimaginable shape.
The hurt and the pain, again and again...
O please God, have mercy!
O please let it end!

And he finally stops, and heads for the door,
While I lay there motionless, sprawled on the floor.

My name is Chris ,
I am three,
Tonight my daddy, Murdered me.
And you can help,
It sickens me to the soul, If you read this, and don't pass it on.

I pray for your forgiveness,
You would have to be,
One heartless person,
Not to be affected,
By this poem..

And because you ARE affected,
Do something about it!
So all I ask you to do,
Is to please pass this on!

You just never know, this could
happen to one of your own.

At least five children each day from around the world die from child abuse!!!!

Saying Grace In A Restaurant

Last week, I took my children to a restaurant.

My six-year-old son asked if he could say grace.

As we bowed our heads he said, 'God is good, God is great. Thank you for the food, and I would even thank you more if Mom gets us ice cream for dessert.  And Liberty and justice for all! Amen!'

Along with the laughter from the other customers nearby, I heard a woman remark,

'That's what's wrong with this country.  Kids today don't even know how to pray.  Asking God for ice cream!  Why, I never!'

Hearing this, my son burst into tears and asked me, 'Did I do it wrong? Is God mad at me?'

As I held him and assured him that he had done a terrific job, and God was certainly not mad at him, an elderly gentleman approached the table.

He winked at my son and said, 'I happen to know that God thought that was a great prayer.'

'Really?' my son asked.

'Cross my heart,' the man replied.

Then, in a theatrical whisper, he added (indicating the woman whose remark had started this whole thing), 'Too bad she never asks God for ice cream.  A little ice cream is good for the soul sometimes.'

Naturally, I bought my kids ice cream at the end of the meal. My son stared at his for a moment, and then did something I will remember the rest of my life.

He picked up his sundae and, without a word, walked over and placed it in front of the woman.  With a big smile he told her, 'Here, this is for you.  Ice cream is good for the soul sometimes; and my soul is good already.'

Sometimes, we all need some ice cream.

I hope God sends you some Ice Cream today!
